How to copy and paste a MIDI track in GarageBand?
Does anybody know how to take a single midi track, copy it, close out, GarageBand, open it back up, create a brand new track, and paste that midi track onto it?

I am sure you tried it. I don't think the clipboard retains tracks after you close GB.
If you are opening a new file, it might better to just take the donor file, rename it and "save as", and then delete the stuff you don't want.
