got new iphone 16 & siri no longer listens when it’s locked - even though settings are correct. tried putting off the apple intelligence but it still doesn’t work. latest ios update is installed.

Siri wasn’t working on my new phone either. Try rebooting/turn phone off and on. That updated Siri and did the trick.
