Updated to iOS 18.1 and GarageBand audio is choppy.

I copied the title over from another user’s issue two months ago because i cannot reply to them, Apple community says i must ‘ask another question’. Hopefully cadmaes will see this fix…Some have reported audio and other issues with garageband, i had multiple issues, and if you have any ideas what causes it additional to mine please feel free to reply.

one issue i had was trying to run GB on a 64gb device, that had 58gb used up of this space…it’s amazing garageband runs at all it turns out.

i resolved my ipad issue only after rellacing my device - i had multiple breakdowns/crashes out of GB, whenever i had LESS THAN 50gb FREE SSD SPACE.

Any other fixes? I worked in IT for decades, and disk or SSD space must be free as well as having memory, it’s standard to use both for a lot of apps, one OS needs hundreds of gigabytes free disk space. Now, if i had less than 75gb free SSD, i’d know exactly what the issues is - and Garageband files are large, because they are actually about seven files in total, you just don’t get to see them.

Take care all.

iPhone 6s, iOS 15
