Image Playground restrictions on certain descriptions on Mac

I just downloaded the latest Mac OS. I had been hearing a lot about image playground and saw it was now available. Starting throwing out ideas and was having a great time. Then it dawned on me I could create images to use with my LLC for training.

It all started great and then I noticed that it appears certain image ideas are restricted.

Gun

Pistol

Sword

K Bar

Rifle

cannon

and several others resulted in

"unable to use that description"

now a skull and crossbones is ok as is a pirate but the pirate can't have a cigar but he can have a bottle of rum.

Is this just a lack of development in the AI of the image playground - or is this an actual restriction on the images?

Does anyone have any idea.

As a note - I am 25 years retired law enforcement and have one son in the USMC and one currently in Law Enforcement - just looking for images for a story book - nothing crazy.

Just for fun, I tried every word you said (except K Bar as I have no clue what one is) and Image Playground came back with a version of each item. Why yours won't, I have no clue. I'd reach out to Apple Support directly for help as it worked as expected for me on both my MacBook Pro and iPhone 16 Pro Max. Though it was much slower coming back with an image on my Mac for some reason.

There are many guardrails within the AI model that are intentionally designed to inhibit creation of certain types of image.

If the description(s) that you are using produce unexpected results, try rewording or clarifying your input - being mindful that the AI model s likely be sufficiently "smart" to avoid guardrails being crossed. How the guardrails are interpreted may differ by your region/country - or by societal traits and/or regulation that may be applicable where you are.
