How to allow phone to ring but not make text sounds

I would like to create a focus for night time, that would allow

certain people to call me in case of an emergency, but I do not want to

hear text notifications from anyone.

In my focus, I have allowed notifications from my chosen set of

people. This works as I would expect, and the phone only rings when

these people call.

Under "apps" I have tried selecting "Allow Notifications From" and

leaving the list of apps empty. I have also tried selecting "Silence

Notifications From" and added "Messages" to the list. Either way, I

continue to get text notifications from the set of allowed people.
