I recently had my screen repaired by a 3rd party due to the extortionate price Apple was asking for. However, when it comes to batteries, I prefer to get a genuine Apple replacement. Will Apple replace the battery (if I pay outright) if the screen has been repaired by a 3rd party.
The absolute best case scenario would be that Apple would agree to replace the battery, but they would also require you to have them replace the display at the same time.
The most likely scenario is they will refuse to touch it at all.
Unlikely. Apple will not typically perform repairs on devices without OEM parts installed by Apple or an authorized service center.
An authorized Apple shop will not touch your phone now and the trade in value of your phone at Apple has dropped to zero.
If you had your iPhone serviced by a non-Apple Store or non-Apple Authorized Service Provider, your iPhone is now ineligible for service from Apple, and they won’t touch it.
