Unable to add full songs as ringtones on iPhone 11 with iOS 18.3

On my iPhone 11, OS18.3, I can no longer add a whole song from my music library. The way I did before the upgrade. My iPhone is the only connection I have to the Internet. Can anyone help me with this? Perhaps I can do it in a different way now.

You have never been able to use full songs as ringtones.

To be a ringtone, it must be no longer than 30 seconds and must be in the M4R format.

You can make this conversion in Garage Band.

People often remember things which never were. It has NEVER been possible to use a full song as a ringtone. Ringtones cannot be longer than 30 seconds and it has ALWAYS been this way. You can use something like Garage Band to convert a song to a 30 second segment suitable to be a ringtone. Or you can make life simpler and go to the iTunes Store and look in the Tones Store for the song, which will cost you about $1.
