Can I transfer music from an iPhone to a MacBook Air?

I downloaded a whole bunch of music onto iTunes when I was using Windows then moved it all to my iPhone. I have recently bought a MacBook Air 13Inch with the most recent system update. I quickly discovered that iTunes isn't able to be downloaded again. Which makes transferring music from my iPhone to my Mac extremely difficult. I've been trying for the last 4 hours to find a way to do so, with downloading iTunes just to find out I can't install it, to downloading apps that mean I have to cough up an obscene amount if money just to copy more than 10 items.

I keep coming back to using Finder to sync the music. One problem with that. Finder only gives one option - to delete all music on my iPhone and sync the only two songs on my Mac to it. I cannot sync my iPhone music to my Mac.

Someone PLEASE freaking HELP!!!!!!! It's really beginning to irritate me at this point. Just going round in circles.

Thanks,

Reason it wants to remove all the music is because you can sync to one iTunes library.

If you still have the access to window pc then do this Move your iTunes library to another computer - Apple Support or this Move your iTunes library to a new computer - Apple Community to your mac.

If you don't have access to the windows pc, then purchase touch copy or imazing to export data from your phone to yoru mac.

I neglected to mention that from macOS Catalina onwards iTunes has been dropped in favour of a new suite of apps, of which Music is intended to manage, uh, music. If you still have the Windows library you should be able to copy it over to the Mac and use the option-start-Music method to open the .itl file and convert it to the new .musiclibrary format, otherwise see my previous post, or the options provided above.
