Unknown Microphone access in control center

I updated to iOS 18.3 a few days previously, and it's been running well on my iPhone. However, I noticed something wrong on my home screen. The Microphone was on. When I opened the control center, it said that an unknown app had access to the microphone, but it had done so without my consent. When I checked settings to see if there was an app that had requested access, there was none.

The Issue was resolved after a hard restart, but it still baffles me. This has never happened in the past ten years of using the iPhone.

Did you recently delete an app that had Microphone Access?

The same thing has been reported for many years, but there has not been a single answer for a reason. Force Restarting always makes it go away and some other users have reported that resetting the network settings also works. Sorry I cannot provide a solution, but here are some other reports of the same thing going back many years:

Most users have reported it after using the Camera App, does that seem to be true for you? Unfortunately, it is not easily repeatable, which makes it difficult to file a bug report to resolve the issue if it is a glitch. Please update if you are able to track it to any particular activity or app, where others may be able to reproduce it. In the meantime, you can also contact Apple directly:
