I received an email with an electronic check. It wanted me to click on the check to deposit. I’m a bit hesitant to click on it. I know this was an active settlement, but I didn’t believe they sent electronic checks. Is anyone aware of this?

How much you receive depends on how many devices you owned that fell under the lawsuit.
And yes, it's entirely normal for these types of settlements to ask for your bank's routing number and your account number. That allows them to deposit your settlement electronically instead of the extra time and expense necessary to send you a paper check.
The bank info only allows them to deposit funds. It would require your PIN to withdraw anything.
This one is unique. It is a “digital check,” where I am to “click on a link to access it.” There is a visual of said check above the “click on link to access it.”
It is just making me suspicious with the link. I thought like you described it was Zelled or dropped in account.

Look into it very thoroughly. The address in the email belongs to a law firm by the name of the Angeion Group. I would contact them and ask them to verify the email.
When I received the email regarding the settlement, I completed the necessary steps to proceed and I do remember it asking if you want a paper check or digital. I received a paper check in the mail today.
Never provide financial or personal details in response to such an email. That email could have come from anyone spoofing the sender's information and referring to a legitimate court case.
