Left airpod disconnects after a few minutes of being outside

So, indoors my airpods work absolutely flawlessly. But when i go outside, i keep music playing for like 4 minutes then my left airpod plays the low battery sound and disconnects. The right airpod keeps playing normally. It reconnects when i put the left airpod in the case and take it back, but its REALLY annyoing to do it every few minutes. Also, i am using an android phone, if that has to do with anything.

I have literally tried almost everything, including resetting the airpods many times, and i have even tried it on another android device and it doesnt work. Please help!
