How can I tell if my iPhone model is authentic?

I just wanted to know that this model number 5TX93ZA/A is legit or not cause I bought the store and this is also using an iphone

How can I verify that my iPhone is legitimate? I bought what I believed to be a refurbished iPhone 15 from a website (a subsidiary of a major internet retailer). At first glance it appears to be an iPhone but the back cover does not give a model number and does not say iPhone on it. I plugged the serial number into Apple's serial number checker and that site accepts the serial number as being that of an iPhone 15 but reports the Purchased Date as January 01, 2007. Is this phone really an Apple product - I thought he serial number checker was suppose to be foolproof - is that not the case? Or is it possibly a device that is reporting goodness knows what information (passwords, log in details etc) to a shady operator? [Re-Titled by Moderator]

The iPhone with that number is a refurbished device and Apple was not the refurbisher. In addition, it may have non-Apple branded parts. Apple does not warranty the device, but the retailer or refurbisher may.
