I listen to the radio (SBS Chill) on Apple Music when I am at work. I find that it often just stops playing but also that if I reopen my computer the next day (after it's been asleep all night) the radio station will often not connect again unless I restart Apple Music.

Wifi or wired connection?
If wifi, there is a chance you are losing bits in the bit train and are having trouble recovering.
You could be losing bits on a wired connection as well if the internet connection to that server is poor.
Can you lower the bit rate to perhaps better receive the music data packets.
I sometimes pick the highest fidelity (e.g. 128) of the radio station to find that I cannot connect to it very well.
Sometimes there are different encodings to pick from. You can try to change the type of encoding they are providing.
