iPhone SE (3rd Generation) Screen unresponsive first thing in the morning
Hi,
For the last few days my iPhone SE (3rd Generation) has been
having problems with the touch screen. Strangely the problem only seems to
occur first thing in the morning – for maybe 5-10 minutes or so the rightmost
edge of the screen is completely unresponsive, however the rest functions as
usual. The problem will randomly get worse and spread to other parts of the
screen, but this isn’t always the case. Strangely the problem tends to resolve
itself after these 5-10 minutes.
Restarting the phone (both by using the volume buttons and holding the power
button and just the power down method) does not resolve the issue.
I am running iOS 18.2.1 and I can confirm that all my apps are up to date. I
have almost 80GB of free space on my phone so I do not believe this would be an
issue.
I can confirm that I have tried cleaning the screen at this makes no difference. The
screen protector and case I am using are the same ones I have been using since
I first got the phone so I don’t see how these could be a problem. The problem
occurs regardless of whether I have had the phone on charge overnight or not,
and whether I charge it wirelessly or via cable does not seem to change
anything. I have also tried signing out of my apple ID and signing back in, but
this has not solved the problem either.
Please find an image attached showing a note where I have scribbled to show the affected
part of the screen.
Any advice or suggestions you could provide would be greatly
appreciated as I have no idea what else I can do to fix this problem and it is very inconvenient.
I look forward to hearing from you soon.
