Recovering locked Apple Account

I created a new account for which I forgot the password and I am not able to recover. It always says “Account is locked and cannot be used”.


More context:

It is fresh empty account with 0 purchases, no phone number assigned and devices linked, with nothing, just email and password. I’ve used password manager to generate random password for this account, however due to some bug it failed to save the password in password manager 🤦‍♂️ And now I have an account to which I cannot log in.


I assume account is locked because I didn’t even finish registration and it is missing some required information.


Why do I want to recover empty account?

Because this is my primary email which I would like to use for my main apple account. Of course I can create different account, but I just want to use this specific email address.


What did I already try?

  • Called support via phone
  • Tried to use “Forgot password page”
  • Tried to use “Apple Support” app from AppStore -> Reset password -> Help someone else.


I would be grateful if someone can help me reset the password for this account or just delete it and free up the email.
