Using two Monitors @ 4K 144Hz

I have two monitors connected to my M4 Mac mini base model via DisplayPort 1.4 to Thunderbolt 4. They use the exact same cable.

My aim is to have both monitors display at 144Hz, however in my display settings, only one of them has the option for this. The second monitor is capped at 60Hz, I have attached the difference in settings for each display below.

I have 2 questions:

  • Is the M4 Mac mini capable of outputting both monitors @ 4k 144Hz? If so, what am I doing wrong?

  • Why does the second monitor have the option to toggle HDR, but my primary monitor doesn't? I can see via the monitor's native settings that my primary monitor isn't using HDR, in an ideal world I'd want both using HDR even if my second monitor is capped at 60Hz. I cannot do this via the monitor, so is there a way I can get the Mac to output HDR on both monitors?

Thanks in advance 😊
