I need help with Mac Pages

I'm trying to format a book in Pages. The book is an anthology of works by members of my writing group.

I want to split it into sections (this is easy, but the next step seems impossible) and have each author's name in the header of their respective section. I want to maintain the page numbering of the book, starting from section two, after the front matter. (That part, on its own, is also fairly straightforward)

I'm happy to have the page numbers in the footer if that makes any difference.

Can anyone help me with this?

Many thanks in anticipation.

Thanks for replying. That will allow me to get the numbering set. In fact, I've done that already.
What I can't work out is whether I can give each author's section a different header with their name in the box.
And if so, how?

See if the following gets you where you want:

As an alternative, Scrivener has a free trial which may be worth a look here. Books are doable with Pages and its predecessor iBooks Author, but its options tend to be limited.
