Despite the fake news to the contrary, the ban has not been cancelled. It is still very much illegal for companies to distribute the TikTok app.

The law enforcing the TikTok ban was delayed, but the law that imposes fines has not. So major tech companies such as Apple could still face ruinous fines for allowing it back for download.
