Sound not coming through headphones

Im on the latest version of Garageband using Mac Ventura.

Only had this problem today but cant seem to solve it. Im creating a guitar track.The guitar is connected via an M Audio USB interface. The input is Audio codec and the output is Built in Output...although its the same with System Settings as the output.

The recording is working fine but playback is only coming through the macs built in speakers and not the headphones which are connected to the interface.

Cant figure out why its happening...any help would be appreciated
