How do I disable Siri's "Start a check in" notification on iPhone?

I keep getting a Siri suggestion to ‘Start a check in’ in Messages. I do not want to use this feature, and want to disable these annoying notifications. I have fully disabled Siri, and notifications for Message directly (‘Settings’ > ‘ Siri and Search’ > ‘Messages’ all turned off). I’ve done everything short of throwing my phone out the window, I’ve even asked Siri but shockingly she doesn’t know 🤬 why is it so difficult to find an answer on how to disable this annoying feature?

I’m on the way home & if I click on it, it sends my son a tracking thing showing him how long it’ll be until I’m on the way home. I don’t understand why it happens or why I can’t get rid of it.

No, I wish it was that simple of a fix. Sometimes it happens if he’s in the car with me even & it doesn’t happen all the time. It’s very annoying. I’ve seen a lot of things in message boards about this about a year ago happening like maybe it was some kind of bug but I can’t find a fix for it now & none of the suggestions from those older posts make it stop. It’s driving me nuts

It’s annoying & frustrating & another fun fact I didn’t mention is after it does it, my messages don’t tell me who they’re from anymore. For example before this stupid check in shows up if my friend Allison text me it would say Allison on the screen, after though it just says “message notification” no matter who it’s from & I have to open the phone to see. The only way to fix it is to restart the phone. Omg I HATE THIS!!!
