Homekit - Matter Switch Tile Discrepancy Introduced with iOS 18.2 and iPadOS 18.2

I have several Inovelli White Series Matter-over-Thread smart switches commissioned in my Apple Home. These switch have several components - a typical dimmer switch tile, another dimmer control for the LED status bar, and a tile for the Programmable Switch component. Typically I "hide" the status bar tile and the Programmable Switch tile on the room view and keep my Home view as uncluttered as possible.

After updating to iOS 18.2 and iPadOS 18.2, the Programmable Switch tiles have moved into the Home View and I cannot remove them. Even if I long-press the tile and pick "Remove from Home View" they remain annoyingly present in the Home View.

Others on the Inovelli community have reported the same thing and point to Apple as the culprit. Wondering what can be done about this.

Im having the same issue. Just added 5 white switches to HomeKit and while the switches are great, the button configuration tiles cluttering my home view really bums me out. I read on the inovelli community page that there used to be an “issue” where the button configuration tile would disappear entirely when the tiles were viewed separately and Apple implemented a fix which is when it ended up the way it is now. Bummer because I’d way rather just group tiles, configure the buttons, and then ungroup them to get rid pf the useless stuff. It seems most of the inovelli HomeKit users implement Home Assistant and there is a workaround for the issue when you go that route but I enjoy the simplicity of having everything set up directly in Apple home and not needing any additional hubs. I reported the issue on the Apple home feedback page Feedback - Home App - Apple. I’m sure the more people who report the issue, the more likely it is to be resolved. If you haven’t already reported it doing so may help.
