How to identify fake iPhone 16 pro max

I just bought a iPhone 16 pro max from FB marketplace. I have done all check to make sure the phone is legitimate. Serial number match the Apple support system. Seller original receipt and phone is brand new in box sealed. Turn out is counterfeit iPhone. Side bar don’t work, screen pixels is bad and camera don’t work properly. How to identify the iPhone is fake? Thank you.

The only way you know for sure is to buy from Apple or Authorized Apple Seller. There is no serial number check you can do as any number can be a copy of a legitimate device. Never buy an Apple device off of FB Marketplace unless you have the money to lose. It is not a gamble that most would take.
