How do I get Siri on iPhone to reply to me verbally and by text also?

How do I get Siri to reply to me verbally and by text also ?

If I’m driving and for some reason don’t hear her correctly I figure I can stop and read text if needed but they seem to disappear so quickly too

Am I doing something wrong ?
