I am considering purchasing a Mac mini and want to use it with my existing iMac 5K 27 inch 2020 running macOS Sequoia Ver 15.2. Can this be done so as the processors in both work together?

No. If you go for a Mac mini, then you need to get and use an external display.
No. There is no way to use Macs together in that manner.
No. That's not a thing to do with two separate Macs.
And before you ask, no, you can't use the iMac as a monitor for the Mac mini, either.
