I am missing fast forward/reverse buttons in YouTube app on Apple TV

The buttons for fast forward and reverse are missing most of the time. Sometimes they show up most of the time they do not. I have reported this hundreds of time but of course no one does anything. Is there a fox for this please? I tried other people’s fixes from the forum. Do not work.

I have been unable to search the YouTube app on my Apple TV I have been trying to use the side button on the remote to search within YouTube, however the search results disappear as soon as I depress the mic button on remote, making it impossible to use the voice feature. I have alternatively tried to use my iphone to search within YouTube, but the text input only lets me input a few characters before it automatically closes the text input box and searches for whatever 3-5 letter word was input. Menu button returns too far after tvOS 17.4 update A really annoying thing has happened, watching YouTube Subscription videos. I have subscribed to a lot of channels. Trying to scroll down has been an issue for a few months now in fast mode. It seems to scroll real fast, not going all the way through, yet I end up almost where I started. Ive lived with it. But now, something’s happened that that makes navigating to the next video really aggravating. For example, after scrolling through various subscriptions, and locating a channel, I’ll watch some of a video and decide to go back by hitting the menu button. It doesn’t just go back to the channel, it goes all the way back to “All”. It seems to have happened after the update. Really really cumbersome and time consuming, when one has a lot of channels. Any ideas? How does one determine if this is a YouTube issue or tvOS? Deleting a bunch of channels didn’t help. One thing I noticed, was it didn’t seem to do it after watching “shorts”, but I didn’t make a study of it.

How do you skip back 10 seconds on YouTube? Absolute killer for me. Since a recent update you cannot consistently skip back 10 seconds on the YouTube app with the Apple TV remote. sometimes you double tap the left button and it skips whole chapters. Sometimes it does skip back ten secs. sometimes you have to press pause and then double tap back to skip ten secs. Sometimes it skips back a whole chapter. it’s beyond infuriating. how do you simply tap and skip back ten seconds in the YouTube app without it skipping back a chapter? [Re-Titled by Moderator]

The YouTube app on Apple TV is created and maintained by YouTube/Google developers. They create how their app behaves, and what features are available within this app. It is up to them to fix any issues with that app.
