How can I recover an iPhone reset?

I’m no longer able to copy text in one of my apps. I asked Apple Help for help and was told to do a phone reset. I questioned it but was assured it was no big deal. I did it. It didn’t fix the problem, I lost my ability to contact Apple help, and introduced a whole host of other problems. Is there any way to roll it back? I know. I was stupid for believing Apple help but until that point the person was super helpful.

A normal reset is to power off the phone, wait a minute, then power it back up.

A Forced Reset is this: Force restart iPhone - Apple Support

What kind of "reset" did you perform?

Even if we find out though.......I have no idea how to "recover a reset". But, I'll do some checking on that.

Resetting the settings would have caused the iPhone to forget all of the Wi-Fi network SSIDs and passwords that it had saved. You would have instantly lost any Wi-Fi Internet connection.

iMessages travel over the Internet, so if you lost your Wi-Fi connection and also had cellular data turned off, that would have cut them off. Same for any chat in a dedicated support app. This could explain the loss of contact with Apple Support.

You may need to manually reconnect your iPhone to your home Wi-Fi router and to other Wi-Fi hotspots you are accustomed to using.

I am not aware of recovering a reset, as a reset is supposed to remedy any software issues on your iPhone.

Try a forced reset with the link Bob Timmons provided. If that doesn't rectify the issue, then this is likely a hardware issue in which you should go to your nearest Apple Store's Genius Bar or an Apple Authorized Service Provider for service.

All that did was set your settings back to factory default. That's things like ringtone, wallpaper, Focus settings.

It would in no way affect your ability to contact Apple. What is this "whole host of other problems" it has introduced?
