Why is there a setting that says fonts and it shows different font styles but will not let you change them

The Fonts setting on your iPhone is for managing custom fonts that you have installed through third-party apps, which you can use in supported apps. However, you cannot change the system-wide font style.

Changing the Font Styles:



You can change the font size. See here: Change the Font Size on your iPhone, iPad, and iPod touch - Apple Support


So, Recommend this to Apple:

Do your Part: Provide Apple with feedback on this, letting them know about your concern.  Apple may not get back to you directly, but the more feedback they receive on this, the more they will know what is occurring, and what features to include in updates to come.. Apple will know nothing of your opinions and ideas, if you don't report it to them.

  1. Go Here: Feedback - iPhone - Apple
  2. Select: "Bug Report" for the "Feedback Type"
  3. Comment: that you want this to be an option and why. Include the URL of this thread
  4. Proceed from there as necessary
