Your tag line says that you have an iPhone X. You can update an iPhone X to the latest release of iOS 16, currently iOS 16.7.10.

About iOS 16 Updates - Apple Support

You cannot update an iPhone X to iOS 17 or later. For the iPhone X, iOS 16 is the end of the line.

Updating an iPhone X to iOS 17:

You can't. Your device does not have the hardware capable of running this iOS.

Your iPhone X has reached the end of the latest iOS software update support, and cannot be updated past iOS 16.7.10. You need a newer iPhone to run iOS 17, or ideally the latest iOS 18.

If you want to run iOS 17 or iOS 18, you need a new phone.
