I have airplay no probs but upon setting up new iPhone 16 screen mirroring isnt there? Not under control settings or pulling down from top corner? How do i get it back as like this feature as well as airplay?

I had identical problems until I disconnected my VPN! Not sure why but it works. Maybe if I knew more about VPNs I could explain it.
My old vga display worked fine with my Apple vga lightning adapter. But my iPhone 16 says “accessory not supported” when I connect via an Apple lightning to usb-c adapter. I need a way to mirror my screen without AirPlay.
