It’s a form of Chromatic Aberration (CA), an optical defect caused by using curved glass. it’s present in camera lenses and many optical instruments if not treated properly.

They are simply 2 different displays that differ in the resolution, brightness, and color profile. The color profile determines the accuracy of the source color compared the actual displayed color. Making each color brighter is not necessarily how that color is supposed to be displayed. You can view a complete comparison of both phones here including the display differences.

Color is very subjective. After all about 20% of the male population have one form or another of colorblindness. What you refer to as cheap another iPhone owner may perceive as correct, royal or some other superlative adjective. Two screens from two different manufactures will have two different firmwares and different software to display colors on the screen.

Colors in the computer world are not defined by a word. Colors are made from the 3 primary colors, Red, Green and Blue. The exact mix of R,G and B will determine the luminous, saturation and hue (commonly referred to as HSL). So, what one company describes as yellow will never match what another company calls yellow. Why? The HSL values are different and are subjective.

You don’t provide any context as to what you’re doing. If you want to share what you’re trying to accomplish, it’s possible there’s a way.

The phones in that picture appear to be displaying an identical shade of yellow to me. The Samsung does have some sort of weird green glow down the right side of the screen, though.

Your perception may also be influenced by the difference in the other colors on the phones' displays.
