7th generation iPad is not loading Apple News+ app after iPadOS 18.2 update

Since updating to iPadOS 18.2 on a 7th generation iPad the Apple News + has not worked but it works on my wife’s 7th generation iPad which hasn’t been updated to ipad os18.2. Any suggestions on how to get it working again. Thanks.
