Why doesn't Image Playground work on my brand new apple M4 mini?

I just bought a Mac Mini M4 with 256GB Storage. I've been trying to have as much storage space available and do not want to fill it up. I use an external drive for larger files. Last night I clicked on "Apple Intelligence" in System preferences and a quick message came up saying "Downloading models for Image Playground" I do NOT want large files downloaded, it didn't even give me an option to choose. If it had said "Do you want to install files for image playground" I would have said NO. But it did it without my permission anyway using up almost 30GB of precious disk space. I could not figure out where all of these files went so figured "well since its using up all that space now I might as well try to use the program" I open Image Playground and no matter what I type in the search field it ALWAYS says "Unable to use that description"? WHY? PLEASE if anyone knows how to A: Get this program to actually work or B: Erase all of the useless data filling up my hard drive, please help me with a solution. I'd really rather NOT use the app, I'm a 60 year old IT guy! Thanx
