iPhone speaker issue after iOS 18 update

Whenever I use the speaker, it automatically switches to the upper speaker, and the normal speaker doesn't work. I think it goes to call mode, like when we use the upper speaker for a call. This is happening after I updated to iOS 18, and this issue has continued until iOS 18.2.1. Please suggest what to do.

If your iPhone speaker isn't working after updating to iOS 18, you can try these steps:

  • Check silent mode: Make sure silent mode is off by going to Settings, then Sound & Haptics.
  • Check Do Not Disturb: Open Control Center, then tap the Focus button to turn off Do Not Disturb.
  • Check Bluetooth: Turn off Bluetooth in Settings. If your phone is connected to an external audio source, like AirPods or a Bluetooth speaker, your iPhone's speakers won't produce sound.
  • Check volume: Make sure the volume is turned up.
  • Clean the speaker: Use a small, soft-bristled brush to clean the speaker opening.
  • Restart your iPhone: Restarting your iPhone can help.
  • Test with headphones: Try using headphones to see if they work.

Other common causes of iPhone speaker problems include: Physical or liquid damage, Headphone glitch, and Airplay is connected
