GPS with CarPlay periodically jumping to random locations iPhone 15, iOS 18.2.1
Since I’ve updated my phone to iOS version 18, when paired with CarPlay, GPS periodically jumps from a random location (each 10-60 seconds) for a second or two it keeps there, then it jumps back to the correct location. It happens on all apps (Waze, Google Maps and Apple Maps). It happened on multiple vehicles (Hyundai, Volkswagen, Ford). All new cars with the latest versions of their devices. My wife has the same phone, and experience the exact same problem. The issue happens either wireless or wired. We’re located on south of Brazil (Porto Alegre). An interesting detail is that the issue didn’t happened when we were in Europe (Italy, Austria and Germany) in multiple cars we rented (Ford, Toyota and Mercedes). And apps that use GPS work normally when I’m NOT connected to CarPlay.
I have reset my location setting as seen in some posts, and that didn’t work.
On every apple update I hope it gets fixed, but nothing seems to work.
