Recording music with wired headphones on garageband, doesnt work with iphone 16.

the iphone 16 microphone does not work when I connect my wired (mircrophoneless) headphones. previous iphone models have always worked like this when using this devices for recording music on garageband

External Microphone Not Connecting to iPhone 14 plus I’m trying to connect an external microphone (movo pm20-S and a zingyou mic) to my iPhone 14 plus for recording via the camera app. i have the lightning to headphone Jack but my phone keeps recognizing them as headphones and not a microphone. This means when I test record, the audio is the same as the phone’s rather than the external mic. is there somewhere in the settings I can change the audio input to ‘external mic’ thank you in advance

iphone 15 pro max audio problems This brand new phone will play music and phone calls through the phone's speakers or through my bluetooth ear buds. If I want to play through a wired headset or through my car (which has to be hardwired), when I plug it in, the audio continues through the phone's speakers and will not play through the hardwired connection. I have the appropriate adapters. It always worked perfectly with my 12 pro max - I bought new connectors to go with the usb c on the 15 pro max. What am I missing here?
