What cable do I need to use my old Mac ‘09 as a monitor for my new Mac Mini ‘24?

That won't work.
You need to use an external Display or HDMI TV with the Mac mini.

Not possible to use a 2009 iMac as a display for the M4 mini. Buy a new, budget-conforming external display for the mini and use a quality HDMI 2.1 cable. I happen to be using a 32-inch LG 4K Ultrafine display with my new M4 Mac Mini Pro.

The mini cannot use an iMac as a monitor. You’ll need to buy a regular monitor. There are plenty to choose from in all sizes and price ranges starting at about US$100.
