anyone have there apple 30w usb-c power adapter almost catch fire?

I contacted Apple but they told me to go to a Genius Bar. I live in northwestern Ontario. They gave me no answers and suggested I go here, so here I am. An electrician checked the socket it had been plugged into. It had nothing to do with our electricity supply.

To Whom it May Concern,

Myself and my two grown daughter’s have been using Apple phones, computer’s, tablets, charging cords, earbuds, etc., for years now with no complaints other than Apple’s proprietary nature when trying to use anything other than an apple charger for an apple product.

Which is why…..we do, one can’t get around it.  Other than my new 4 earbuds that came with nothing to charge them.  :(

I just purchased both of my daughter’s new Apple iphone 15pro’s for Christmas but now wish we would just start switching over to my husband and son’s preferred Samsung preference.

Why?  See attached.  This block shot flames!?  I had an electrician in to check the socket, perfectly fine.  We had no weather disturbances the day it happened.  I was sitting by the outlet when it happened but thought it had been something to do with my son re-stringing his electric guitar, which was not plugged in?  It took a few minutes to find the block had been the problem due to it facing the socket it was plugged into.

Any answers as to why this happened?

Thank-you for your time,"

SO, it would seem to me that "Get Support", means "buck-pass-buck-pass"

I just wanted to know why my 30w usb-c power adapter almost caught fire. For the price of apple products I was not impressed.

Thanks James
