Update from iOS 18 to iOS 18.2 took 10GB space

Yes, the upgrade to iOS 18 was a large upgrade on my iPhone 12. But the update to iOS 18.1 took up an Additional 10GB space. I had already eliminated all but a few major apps on my 64GB iPhone 12, cleared all caches, all the recommended things dealing with iOS 18. Another 10GB just for the .1 update seems Enormous even by Apple standards. Now available space varies between 20-25GB after offloading all apps but essentials and other on-phone data reduction. Thoughts, suggestions regarding installing future updates?

I think its cuz messages that are deleted manually or anything really thats deleted arent being deleted on the server end. Because I read that it takes 24hr-4 days for texts to delete on the server end. Its not doing that. Def a bug.

Yea same here. The whole ios 18 did this. It increased my icloud storage a lot for no reason. Im convinced it is ilcoud backup storage bug that will never be fixed for a year or so from now

same here but I have iOS 18.2 taking 17.56gb and System data 12.71 and have no idea how to make it lower
