Crop feature in photos changed

When my iPad Pro updated to iOS 18.1.1, the crop feature in photos changed. I can no longer crop a photo by only bringing in the sides or only bringing in the top or bringing in both the top and sides but at different degrees. The entire box moves. This is incredibly annoying. Does anyone know how to turn this off? My iPhone still runs iOS 18.0.1 and the crop feature is working in the same way it always has so I assume this was caused by the update.

When you start a crop, there is a little icon at the upper right of the screen

that sets the "aspect ratio," like 4:3 or 16:9 of the crop. When you tap that, you can choose which you want in the menu at the bottom of the screen.

There you can choose FREEFORM, which will allow you to pull in the corners any way you like.
