I had update ios 18.2.1 and then Face ID not working. I have tried to reset Face ID and so existing Face ID erased. After this I tried to setup Face ID newly, but am getting ‘FaceID is not available Try setting up Face ID later’

They are unable to help you. They will send you to the Apple Store for a hardware issue. It’s not hardware, it’s the update. Hopefully they will come out with the patch soon.
Thank you so much- I had this same issue and your “quickly push volume up, then volume down, then push and hold the power button until you can slide to turn the phone off… and restart” worked!!!!
Just for the next saga, FaveID worked for a day, then stopped again Now of if I restart my phone my camera will work, try FaceID, it goes black and both my front and back cameras stop working. This update has messed my phone totally. I need to book an appointment to have it looked at.
I just restarted my mobile and then tried to setup Face ID. It started working
I think you need to rotate your face all sides and then it will store your entire face
This restart solved my issue.
It’s def a software problem because this happens to me every alternate patch.
