Hello, Apple Support and their support brought me an iPhone 16 as a gift two days ago and I was really happy to see it. And I was really happy that it was for Apple Intelligence. But when I saw that the part number of my phone was Chinese and there was no Apple Intelligence inside, I was very upset. This is really unfair. I ask Apple Support to please add these features for the Chinese part number series. Thank you for Apple Support.

Yes, that's what it means. And honestly, I'll be surprised if the Chinese government, ever approves the ChatGPT extension in China. ChatGPT has been out for some time now and it is still not available to people or devices manufactured for China.

Apple Support CANNOT and WILL NOT add Apple Intelligence to ANY iPhone manufactured for the Chinese market, until OR if, it is approved for that market. There is nothing anyone here or at Apple can do for you.
It'll become available when Apple Intelligence is released there; Apple Support doesn't have any control over this.
For reference, the people on these boards are mostly other customers.
