I am having trouble getting the app to automatically find new faces in the People and Pets section. At the bottom it reads Finding People .... but never stops and never finds new faces or people. When double clicking on a person and then at the bottom Review more photos - there are no more photos to review which is not true. It's just not working. Please help me.

When you're done with your Mac for the day, Quit Photos. Quit everything really -- you don't want anything diverting processing power.
Keep your MacBook plugged in. Keep your MacBook open (closing the lid puts it to sleep.) In Settings, go to Energy and select the option to prevent automatic sleeping when the display is off.
Then leave it alone overnight. It won't really start analyzing until your Mac is idle for a while.

I see that you're talking about an iPhone. People get angry when their phone's battery dies, so Photos tries hard to avoid draining your battery. And it also tries to avoid slowing down your work or your browsing on the phone. So it doesn't do much background processing, looking for faces and stuff, while you're using the phone.
So the best thing to do to help it along is to lock the screen, plug it in (maybe use the port rather than MagSafe,) and leave it alone. Often the best time to do that is overnight.
