iPhone not working after switching devices

i was switching my phone (the one i am currently using) to another old phone as it was better than mine and it wouldn’t let me click anything on my current phone so i clicked to exit but it hasn’t changed anything on the old phone i am trying to change too and i’m not sure how to do it
