Replaced AirPod is saying mismatched

I just replaced one AirPod on AirPod pro 2 lightning and works except in find my can’t get matched keeps saying mismatched

Having mismatched firmware may cause this. Did you get the replacement AirPods directly from Apple?


If so, see if the following can help:


Ensure Both AirPods Are Updated

  1. Insert Both AirPods into the Case
  2. Connect the Case to Power using either a Lightning cable or wireless charging.
  3. Place the Case Near Your iPhone keeping the charging case lid open for a few minutes. The AirPods update automatically when connected to power and close to your iPhone (ensure Wi-Fi and Bluetooth are on).
  4. Check Version: Go to Settings > Bluetooth > [Your AirPods] > About.
