Magic Trackpad not working since software update

Since updating to MacOS 15.0.1 my Magic Trackpad doesn’t work at all. Plugging it in as I usually do to charge it and it just isn’t charging. It stays at 0% or 1%. If I unplug it, it dies instantly. When it’s plugged in, it’s so laggy and the haptics don’t work anymore. I’m hesitant to fork out for a new one for what could just be a software glitch. I’ve tried troubleshooting (restart, different cables, updated to 15.2, etc). Any advice?
