Cannot get the yellow tint out of iPad. Not Night Shift.

My iPad screen was yellow and I tried all the usual fixes. Night Shift was not on. No color filters were applied. Even doing a complete reset to Erase All Content and Settings and then setting it up as a new device did not work. It appears the problem is a hardware failure.

I’m posting this workaround that worked for me:

Go to Settings > Accessibility > Display and Text Size > Color Filters.

Turn on Color Filters which makes new settings appear below.

Select the Color Tint filter.

Slide the Hue setting about three quarters of the way to the right. You’re trying to filter out the extra yellow color from the screen. It helps if the phone is in “Light” mode, not “Dark” mode, so that the background in Settings is white.

Slide the Intensity setting to somewhere around the middle.

Toggle the Color Filters setting off and on to see your original screen color and the filtered color to see how much it has improved. You can continue to adjust these two sliders to get the best color.

NOTE: The screen will be dimmer than normal with the filter applied, but the color should be less yellow and more white. You can add a shortcut to Control Center to quickly turn the filter off when more brightness is needed.
