Playing music on HomePod
Hi all,
I've recently got a homePd mini.
With one exception, whenever I try to play music to it (e.g. "Hey Siri play Queen") I get The response " I couldn't find Queen (or whatever) in your music library". The one exception being an album I purchased via the music store - that plays OK.
I've seen similar questions where the response has ben software update. At the moment, I've got a desktop Mac running Sequoia 15.2, an iPhone running IOS 18.2 and an iPad running iOS 18.2. They're all happy to share the contents of my library amongst themselves.
The HomePod is running 18.2 (which I believe is the most recent OS for it) - but it only believes in the existence of the one album mentioned earlier.
Other posts I've read have mentioned unhiding music. I don't have any hidden music.
I've tried signing out of the HomePod and back in again (all devices are using the same account).
Any other ideas? I can play the music on another device and airplay to the HomePod, but that seems like an unnecessary step.
Thanks for any help.
Paul
