Do I need Apple Intelligence for running my Mac?

Hi, this is just a question.

Do you think I need apple Intelligence in order for my mac to run, or is it just an option that enables my mac to use chatgpt? I don't really know and i'm curious about it.

-Can you also tell me more about apple intelligence

You absolutely do not need Apple Intelligence to make your Mac run. You can turn it off if you like at  > Settings > Siri & Apple Intelligence. It is the same place where you would have had to turn it on. To learn more about the Apple Intelligence features and if you want to use them, you can look here:
