since The update to iOS 18, my iPhone 13 Pro Max and iPhone 14’s photo apps keep crashing . Both phones have more that 71Gs of free space. This is really frustrating. I have tried rebooting both devices and the problem gets solved temporarily. Very difficult to share pictures via social media platforms such as Instagram and whatsapp
You may want to check the most recently added photos. You may have saved a shared photo or video in your Photos Library, that cannot be processed by photos because they are in an unsupported format. To test for damaged image files try open each most recently saved photo and try to add some adjustment. When you come across photo that is making Photos crash, delete it and empty Recently Deleted as well.
