Apple TV Continue Watching is not Updating after OS18 update?

I have an 2 older Apple TV's, the model that was prior to the 4K Apple TV, and a 3rd 4K AppleTV


After the OS 18 update, the 2 older AppleTV's are not updating the "continue working" on the AppleTV Home Screen.


The 4K is working fine, but not the 2 older models....

I actually reset the AppleTV to default factory settings, and re-set / signed in with Apple ID, etc. Still won't work.


Is there a fix for this, or do I have to bite the bullet and buy a new 4K Apple TV?

Apparently tvOS 18.2 (2024-12-11) had a “data syncing issue”, which was fixed in tvOS 18.2.1 (2025-01-16).


Updating to 18.2.1 fixed this issue for me.
